Millennium Technical School and College affiliated with BTEB, National University, Bangladesh, is celebrating its 29th anniversary this year. Over the last decade, Millennium Technical School and College has earned local and global reputation by creating highly qualified Computer Experts, Scientists and Business Experts of highest potential. Our objective is to empower the younger generation and make a contribution to the nation to help uplift the progress in business, technology and also to formulate policy for overall development of the country. We pledge to ensure the quality of life by ensuring the quality of education. The Institute is regulated by a strong Governing Body consisting of eminent Professors of Chittagong University, Subjects Experts, within the rules and regulations of BTEB,National University of Bangladesh.

Every great accomplishment begins with a dream, a vision that motivates people to shape their thoughts into a powerful reality. Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Behind the establishment of IST the   dreamer was Professor Abdus Salam. He deeply believed that `scientific thought is the common heritage of all mankind’ and he had the dream that the developing world should benefit and could contribute substantially to that heritage, on par with the developed world.

He also believed that Islam is the fundamental part of any scientific work. He once wrote that “the Holy Quran enjoins us to reflect on the verities of Allah’s created laws of nature; however, that our generation has been privileged to glimpse a part of His design is a bounty and a grace for which I render thanks with a humble heart.

MTSC is the outcome of his dream. It is one of the 8 centers in Southeast Asia located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It was founded by Professor Dr. Monir Hossain in 1993. This institution is always concerned about the quality of education with the motto “A Center of Excellence for Education”. IST is conducting renowned and highly demanding honor’s and master’s courses with distinction.

Future Campus

MTSC future campus is located at Hathazari,Chittagong. Total land area is 12 katha and it is an 4 storied building. There are a spacious, air conditioned multimedia classrooms, computer lab, electrical lab, communication lab, hardware lab, network lab, server room, IT support room, digital library, separate prayer rooms for male and female students, separate common room, auditorium, seminar/conference room, mosque, rooftop cafeteria, open terrace, substations, solar panels, lifts, stairs, fire escapes, faculty and administrative rooms, teacher’s lounge, playground, and information center. The new campus is designed to have a green environment where natural light and air can easily flow into the building thus creating an eco-friendly and healthy structure.

Vision, Mission and Objectives

Vision:

To ensure quality education, maintain sound academic environment and provide services at nonprofit basis in order to establish it as an Award Giving Institution.

Mission:

  1. To enhance participation of students in business and technology.
  2. Provide a teaching, research, development and training institute for our promising younger people.
  3. Looking forward to some life oriented income generating; self-sustained activities where our younger generation can get involve educating themselves and upgrade their socioeconomic status.
  4. To publish books and periodic journal.

Objectives:

  1. To develop and maintain proper physical infrastructure.
  2. To recruit qualified and experienced teachers on competitive basis.
  3. To select students on merit basis.
  4. To develop and maintain modern CSE, ECE and BBA Lab.
  5. To develop and maintain standard Digital Library system with expert Library Personnel.
  6. To develop and follow teachers and students evaluation systems.
  7. Organized extracurricular activities for students as like- club, seminar, exhibition, games and sports, cultural program, study tour, picnic etc.
  8. Provide scholarship and financial supports to the brilliant and needy students.
  9. To develop and follow rules and regulations regarding salary structure, promotion and gratuity.
  10. To give incentives to teachers and staffs on qualification experience and performance basis.
  11. To establish a system of periodic training for teachers and staffs.
  12. To develop and maintain an IT based accountant and audit department for proper financial function.
  13. To develop and maintain a supportive administrative system with qualified and experience personnel.
